General Update

Interac e-Transfer® Update
As has been communicated over the past several weeks, teams across the PPJV, IBM and Celero have been working diligently to resolve the Interac e-Transfer® issue for Assiniboine and Connect First Credit Unions. Several system enhancements to stabilize Interac e-Transfer® are showing positive results with improved system performance. Timeout issues between IBM and Celero have been resolved, member account remediation processes are being completed with the support of IBM’s analytics team to ensure all error scenarios have been identified and reported. An enhanced system notification process is also being tested to ensure participating credit unions receive automated and timely reporting of system outages. These alerts are anticipated to be in production before December 25th.

MPA is Nearing Finalization
The Master Participation Agreement (MPA) will now be sent to all designated signees within the first couple of weeks of January. As communicated, a webinar will be hosted to further enhance understanding of the MPA and its contents and to allow credit unions to ask any questions. Stay tuned for more information in the new year.

Spotlight: Digital Integration Pattern (DIP)

Please note: effective August 2021, the Digital Integration Pattern (DIP) is no longer being pursued. An alternate solution is under development to replace the DIP and additional information will be shared as it is available.

The Digital Integration Pattern (DIP) was created to enable the integration of Digital Channels with the PaaS platform and Core Banking systems in a lightweight, cloud-based manner. Its overall objective is to onboard transaction volumes to the PaaS platform with minimal change to Digital Channels or Core Banking Systems, and to allow credit unions to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Over the past several weeks, the PPJV has been hosting sessions around the DIP and questions credit unions asked have been posted to the FAQ page.
